Crossy's Ride

Sunday 3 March 9.30am for 10am departure
Various Bike Stores around Melbourne

This year, Bikefest has teamed up with the family of James Cross to promote road safety messages and celebrate the life of James, who was tragically killed in a car dooring incident in March 2010.

We will be presenting Crossy's Gig at Port Melbourne Bikefest, a program of music featuring 8 of Melbourne's most exciting bands performing short, original sets at Bay St venues The Local and The Exchange.

Held on the same day, Crossy's Ride will be an opportunity for bike riders from all over Melbourne to show their solidarity, riding together for safety and in memory of James.

Starting at bike shops all over Melbourne, the rides will conclude at Port Melbourne Bikefest. Get together with your friends, neighbours or meet some new riders at your local bike shop before heading off together along one of Melbourne's 3 iconic routes leading to Bay St Port Melbourne (Beach Road, Sandridge Rail Trail and the Westgate Punt).

People participating in the ride are encouraged to make a small donation to the James Cross Memorial Fund,a charitable fund account of the Lord Mayor's Charitable Foundation. Donate here.
